In my previous post, I mentioned that I have gotten the car used. 90k mileage is rather high when I gotten it in 2015. Driving the car was really different compared to the satria neo I had. Power delivered to the two front wheels when I needed it instantaneously.
On my first trip with the car with the family to Port Dickson, it then occurred. The infamous check engine light lit up. It was when we were about the leave for home. It was still around 100km away. The feeling was rather tense as I would like to reach home without stalling. Drove all the way home and took it to the Service centre. Took them one day to resolve the issue. Charcoal canister was the culprit. They also told me about my Aircon belt which was also worn. So I opt to change that as well. Cost was ard rm1.8k. The only stressful part about all this was the service centres competent about Vw cars. I had to leave the car for one day for such minor repairs. Even if u made an appointment, it doesn’t matter, they take in all cars. Sort of a defeat purpose of making an appointment. Servicing the car was around rm700-rm1000. This can be done cheaper from outside Vw Audi specialist. An oil change would cost ard rm400 outside. I will write more as I go along .... to be continued.. Owner ship of a 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk6
Been owning the car close to 2 years now. My first continental car. I do understand where ppl are coming from, when they say once you do conti, you ain't going back to jdm.
Comparing to my previous cars, this is a rather refined car. Interior looks luxurious, everything is soft touch, matte aluminium here n there.
I bought this from a doctor, driven ard 90k km, which was high for a 3 years plus vehicle. Car was still under warranty so service can as done in the authorised service centres. That was the most painful part of the whole ownership. They were incompetent, slow and basically didn't give a damn.
Thanks to them, I now try to resolve all my own issues if possible. Sourcing parts from taobao or even Sunway if they are reasonably priced. Heck, I have even bought my own wrench set to help do my own repairs. Used once for installing the APR Carbonio stage 1 intake. Lost one t25 screw in the process. But all is good.
When I decided to buy the car, I did my home work. It was labelled as the car for boys who have grown up. That really sealed the deal for me. I was looking for something more practical at my age. Enough room in the boot to put a stroller in. Gone were the subwoofers which took up half of the boot space. However, it should not be dull n boring. When I needed power, it must be there.
I do like it when the surge/turbo kicks in. Like I said, this car been refined, when all those chuchu kicks in, it doesn't give u a neck breaking sensation. Unlike my previous wild horse with 280hp. This is done in a more classy style. But comparing to the bigger boys like the BMW n audi , the gti could be tad bit harsher. You pay what you get.
With the newly installed carbon intake, it does sound nice. With the sound of the intake sucking up air n those flutters. Oh boy, pretty addictive.
Next I would talk about the problems faced, cost of ownership in these 2 years and any other business.

I hear the engine screaming when i redline her. The sound of the engine screaming... damn its like an accomplishment. (*Changed to 5gear,Blow off valve hisses)........ All in all, can i maintain it ? Ahh, the annual dinner presentation was something of the past. Lots of man-hours spent. Glad to know tat its all behind now. Hopefully there wont be another time for me to do it.. Or else.....Great news is Tekken 5 is already out in KL and Penang. Only TKA managed to bring that machine in. Thanks to me, for contacting TKA. These ppl really know how to do business... Respect to them! Arcade owners in Sgwang is completely stupid. And that's their lost. All my buddies are now located in Sogo. :p Screw the idiots in SgWang and especially the crazy ass bitch who thinks she is one against the world. MAD WHORE. As we speak now, i have to complete a website on 4 days. Which is gonna be a challenge for me. Im still not in the fucking mood to do it yet. I do hope a miracle happens along the way. Or else im screwed. I wanna change my car. But wat the fuck should i do ? i dont think i can get a loan for a old car! sad sad. Should i ... or should i not ? All the fucking cheap tactics came out. i got pissed, used double orges and won him 7 times in a row.. and its bye bye time. During the weekend, he only played 1 game with me. Trash him and he runs for cover. Then another occasion he was raped by my orges. Boy is he confused. I'm goin to continue my mind games.. let u win some then take it all back!! Ahh i had 20 wins yesterday even though most of it didnt count. Only the matches with "LOOK i have got a big elbow and i want to stretch it all the fucking way to ur side" and korean wannabe. the first chap isnt too cheap.. BUT the hell, the korean wannabe is really annoying. There isnt any mercy from my side.. left the game after 20 wins to make me look like DAMN u guys are not worthy :D Next update : My annual dinner presentation nite. :) And a word tat i frequently mention in my blog.
